This is true. We did get a kitten. We called it Pookiesnackenburger (Pookie for short). Can anyone work out where the name came from? And no, the name of Garfield's teddy bear is a complete coincidence.
Slightly embarrassing, but this actually happened. We didn't eat him though.
It's probably obvious that this didn't actually happen. It was just something that we hoped would happen. I also have a suspicion that it's a direct steal from a Fat Freddy's Cat cartoon.
The first ever Humphrey cartoon was based on a real incident. Humphrey got out of his box and had hidden under a pile of dirty laundry. My flatmate found him and did, indeed, say "Ah... Humphrey".
Notice that I hadn't actually managed to work out how to spell "Humphrey" at this point.
